France’s Premier Floral Craftsmanship Championship Heading to Reims

EVENT OVERVIEW & INTERNATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE

The French Federation of Artisan Florists (FFAF), in collaboration with the National Association for Floral Festivities (ANFF), has officially announced the 54th edition of the French Florists’ Cup (Coupe de France des Fleuristes). Established in 1970, this prestigious annual competition stands as the benchmark for excellence in French floral design, celebrating technical mastery, artistic innovation, and passion for the floral trade.

This year’s edition will take place within the framework of Novafleur, the national trade show for florists, hosted for the first time at the Parc Expo in Reims. Positioned at the heart of a strategic European economic crossroads (connecting Paris, Northern France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg), the event gathers key industry stakeholders - growers, wholesalers, suppliers, and floral designers - providing an exceptional international networking and business platform in the capital of Champagne.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT & CHALLENGES

Seven elite floral artisans selected from rigorous regional competitions across France will face off over two intensive days. Competitors will undergo several demanding tests requiring exceptional speed, technical precision, stamina, and creative audacity.

Under strictly timed conditions, candidates must interpret intricate themes and craft monumental floral pieces, including masterful bouquets, floral sculptures, architectural wreaths, and wearable floral accessories. The jury evaluates candidates on composition balance, technique, flower preservation, visual emotion, and artistic flair.
