Festival of Flowers and Art
On May 1-5, 2024, the 34. Festival of Flowers and Art took place at the Książ Castle in Wałbrzych, Poland.
During this unique event, the most talented florists in Poland presented floral arrangements inspired by the 20th anniversary of Polish's accession to the European Union.
Professionals from the Association of Polish Florists, the International Institute of Florists, the Master School of Floristry of Maciej Krzus and students from the Lower Silesian Vocational School in Jawor, together with a group of dozens of volunteers supporting them, created breathtaking décor. Almost a hundred florists from all over Polish worked for two weeks to create unique arrangements in the castle chambers and corridors - from the most important and beautiful Maximilian Hall to the oldest underground parts of the Castle.
A special attraction was the exhibition "Union from the roots", which took visitors back to the beginnings of the European Union. In the castle corridors, you could meet animators dressed as figures representing various countries of the European Union.
The festival abounded in floristic workshops for children, shows by master florists, lectures, and meetings with flower lovers, where you could gain knowledge about the latest trends in floristry.
