Jenni Perttola wins Helsinki Open 2026
On March 26th 2026 the prestigious Helsinki Open Competition was held with 24 participants from Finland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Poland and Ireland. The event was organized by Suomen Kukkakauppiasliitto ry - Finnish Florists' Association – and the location was in Messukeskus Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The hosts were Pirjo Koppi and Minna Merenkajo – both well-known and highly respected florists.
Three surprise tasks were waiting for the competitors and all were connected to Springtime:
- Task 1 - Spring Flow (a wreath) - 45 minutes
- Task 2 - Spring Carnival (arrangement on a piece of wood) - 90 minutes
- Task 3 - Spring Surprise (bouquet) - 90 minutes
Five very experienced judges - Tiina Räihä, Jouni Seppänen, Saija Sitolahti, Tarmo Noormets, and Niina Minkkinen‑Westerlund – formed the jury and they all did a great job in judging the 72 different works throughout the day. The results were:
GOLD: Jenni Perttola, Finland won the Helsinki Open 2026 with a total score of 655 points!
She also achieved the highest score for an individual task, earning an impressive 243 points for her bouquet in task three.
SILVER: Berit Skjøttgaard Laursen, Denmark with a total score of 642 points.
BRONZE: Aleksandra Flak, Poland with a total score of 605 points.
